Lauren Palmer

Solicitor

Background

Lauren is a qualified solicitor in Dehns’ Litigation Group. She graduated from the University of Bristol in 2018 with a degree in Law. During her studies, she completed a module in Intellectual Property Law, which is what initially sparked her interest in the areas of patent, trade mark and copyright law.

Lauren joined Dehns in 2019 as a Patent Paralegal. She developed an extensive knowledge of patent formalities during that time, and qualified as an IP Paralegal member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) in 2020. She now sits on the Editorial Board of the CIPA Journal, and has written several articles for the Journal herself.

Lauren was promoted to the role of Legal Assistant in September 2022. She qualified as a solicitor via the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route in March 2025, having passed both SQE1 and SQE2 with scores in the top quintile of candidates. She achieved 78% (FLK1) and 74% (FLK2) in SQE1, in July 2023; and 82% in SQE2, in August 2024.

Lauren works on a variety of contentious, transactional and advisory intellectual property matters, including assisting clients with UK court litigation, preparing key documents (e.g. assignments, licences, non-disclosure agreements, and co-existence agreements), and advising on a wide range of intellectual property related issues.
