As reported here, the House of Commons’ Delegated Legislation Committee considered the UPC Privileges and Immunities Order last week. The legislation was formally approved by MPs yesterday, as reported in Hansard.

The legislation must now go before the House of Lords and then the Privy Council, after which the UK will be in a position to ratify the UPC Agreement.

The House of Lords’ Grand Committee is scheduled to consider the legislation tomorrow afternoon, with remaining steps expected to be mere formalities.
