Tyler joined the Dehns Birmingham office in 2024 as a Trainee Patent Attorney after graduating from the University of Oxford with a master’s degree in Physics, where he studied topics including condensed matter physics, quantum physics, and fluids. In his final year, Tyler researched performing terahertz imaging using compressed sensing techniques.
Tyler works with a broad range of clients, from start-ups to large multinationals. He has handled patent drafting and patent prosecution in various jurisdictions, including the UK, Europe, USA, South Korea, Japan and China. Tyler also has experience in patent monitoring and opposing patent applications, including through filing third party observations.
Tyler’s work is predominantly in the engineering, physics and software fields, handling subject matter including tobacco industry products, domestic appliances, medical equipment, graphics processing and industrial tools.
