In a career spanning over 20 years and counting, dealing with trade mark disputes has been, and continues to be, a key part of Clare’s practice. Handling proceedings at the UKIPO and co-ordinating action in other jurisdictions around the world, Clare has been involved in numerous trade mark oppositions and cancellation actions, helping her clients to enforce their trade mark rights against others and to defend them when they are attacked by third parties. Claire is also a representative before the Unified Patent Court.

In addition, Clare has experience of handling domain name disputes and complaints before the Company Names Tribunal.

Described in legal directories as “relaxed and unflappable under pressure” and praised for her sound counsel and clear communication, Clare regularly advises clients on their positions vis-à-vis third parties and enjoys conducting settlement negotiations on their behalf.
