Dehns has extensive experience of providing services to high quality, research-led universities in Scandinavia, especially Norway.

We work directly with inventors, academics and those working within University Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs)  to identify potential intellectual property at an early stage. Our approach is to support university innovation through minimising the cost of preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications without compromising the potential for broad protection which maximises the potential commercial benefit.

Universities and TTOs we work with:

Inven2 – one of Norway’s biggest technology transfer offices, responsible for assessing and commercialising innovative research conducted at the University of Oslo, Oslo University Hospital and the health trusts under the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.

Norinnova – one of Northern Norway’s largest competence environments in the development of ideas from research and innovation.

UiO Growth House – the innovation unit for life sciences, health and technology at the University of Oslo (UiO).

NTNU Technology Transfer AS – technology transfer office for the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the Central Norway Regional Health Authority.

Vestlandets Innovasjonsselskap (VIS) – technology transfer office for the University of Bergen, Norwegian School of Economics and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.

The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU)

“This case in particular shows why we have had such a long-term relationship with Dehns. You always deliver quality, service and what we like to think, personal engagement. But in this particular case I think you really delivered out of the “Dehns-usual”. The way you have managed to grasp the invention(s) and deliver technical contribution, patent drafts and a final application is impressive.”
