We are delighted to announce that Dehns has recently acquired Leogriff, one of Norway’s leading Intellectual Property (IP) Consultancies.

With the addition of the highly experienced Leogriff team, and an office in Oslo, Dehns now offers an enhanced level of IP expertise and knowledge. The enhancement is not only in IP consultancy services, but also in its capabilities when representing clients directly before the Norwegian Intellectual Property Office in patents, designs and trade marks, to complement its full service offerings before the UK Intellectual Property Office, the German Patent and Trade Mark Offices, the EPO, and the EUIPO.

This expansion further strengthens Dehns’ offering in: IP strategy; IP management; portfolio management; patentability assessments; searching; drafting, filing and prosecution; oppositions and appeals; infringement advice; FTO assessments, IP ownership; litigation and litigation support; trade secrets and information control; full trade mark (including name creation), designs and copyright services; licensing; research collaboration advice; and due diligence.

Adrian Samuels, Partner at Dehns, commented:

“This acquisition is a major opportunity to provide Dehns’ clients with a significantly enhanced offer in the European IP market. With the addition of the Leogriff team, Dehns can provide even greater knowledge and expertise, particularly in areas relating to IP management and strategy consultancy, which is a key focus for innovative businesses. Furthermore, we are delighted that, having been working closely with Norwegian innovators and industry leaders for over half a century, Dehns’ ongoing success will be supported by this direct investment in Norway.”

Axel Moulin, Leogriff Chairman, added:

“With several mutual clients already, I am delighted that we are now part of the Dehns family; it is a very natural fit, both culturally and technically. Our integration, with added synergies, support and enhanced services, will certainly benefit existing Leogriff clients. We are very excited about working with our new Dehns colleagues and developing future business opportunities. We also look forward to working with Dehns’ current and future clients, providing advice and expertise in new areas.”

We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues to Dehns!
