Dehns is pleased to announce that Senior Partner Dr Elizabeth Jones has been appointed as Head of  the Biotechnology Group.

Elizabeth succeeds Dr Hanna Dzieglewska, who has stepped down from the leadership role after almost 25 years guiding and growing the business.

Hanna has played a pivotal role in shaping Dehns’ biotechnology practice into the highly respected team it is today. Having led the group since its early years, she helped establish a specialist biotechnology practice recognised for its technical excellence, strong client relationships and collaborative culture.

Over the course of her career, Hanna has trained, mentored and supported generations of biotechnology attorneys, many of whom are still with Dehns today. Her influence can be seen throughout the group and across the wider firm, creating a legacy that will continue for years to come.

Commenting on the transition, Elizabeth Jones said:

“I am honoured to take on the role of Head of Biotechnology and to build on the exceptional foundations that Hanna has established. Her leadership, expertise and commitment to both clients and colleagues have been instrumental in the success of the group. I look forward to working with our talented team as we continue to support clients operating at the forefront of biotechnology and life sciences innovation.”

Having qualified in 1997, Elizabeth is one of Dehns’ most experienced patent attorneys and has advised clients for many years across a broad range of biotechnology and life sciences technologies. As Dehns former Managing Partner, current Senior Partner and now Head of Biotechnology, she will continue to lead the group’s strategic development while ensuring clients receive the high-quality advice and service for which Dehns is known.

While stepping down as Head of Group, Hanna will continue to contribute her extensive expertise to clients and colleagues.

Everyone at Dehns would like to thank Hanna for her outstanding leadership, dedication and contribution over the past two and a half decades.
