Trainee Patent Attorney

Background

Timothy joined Dehns Oxford in January 2026 as a Trainee Patent Attorney working in the Biotechnology Group. He graduated from the University of Glasgow with a PhD in Molecular Virology. His research focused on investigating the proteome of Rift Valley fever phlebovirus nucleocapsid protein identifying essential functional residues. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Leeds for 6 years, where his primary research focused on the interaction of cellular RNA modification pathways with Kaposi’s Sarcoma Herpesvirus replication. During this time, he also assisted the Opportunity Development arm of the Technology Transfer team.
