David joined Dehns in 1989. He graduated with First Class Honours in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol. After two years in post-graduate training with Lucas Aerospace, he spent six years as an Examiner in the UK Patent Office.
Type of clients and client work
David acts mainly for large multi-national corporations, but has a number of smaller domestic clients.
He has extensive experience in drafting and prosecution of patent applications before the UK and European Patent Offices. He also has extensive experience of Opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office.
David handles engineering patent work, as well as registered and unregistered design work.
