John Tothill joined the firm in 1991. He graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge, having studied physics and materials science with options in electronics and optical materials. He has the Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College, University of London. He has been awarded The Strode Prize by the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents.
John has more than 25 years experience handling patent work in various engineering fields including electronics, telecommunications and computer software.
In 2017, John was appointed as Dehns’ Head of Engineering, with overall responsibility for the Electronics, IT & Communications sub-group, the Physical Science and Materials sub-group, and the Engineering sub-group.
