Derek Matthews joined the firm in 1984. He graduated from Imperial College, University of London where he obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Chemistry. He was subsequently awarded a PhD in Physical Chemistry for his doctoral thesis on the properties of molecular sieve zeolites.
Derek handles patent work in all types of chemical fields particularly in the pharmaceutical and animal health areas, polymers, fuel additives and biocides.
