Alex Piésold joined the firm in 1982. He is a graduate of the University of Bristol where he studied civil engineering. He has had training in engineering design offices in Vancouver and London. He gives advice to private inventors at the surgeries organised by the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.
Alex handles work in a number of engineering fields, as well as designs. His clients include university spin out companies, for whom he helps to develop patent filing strategies, as well as more established direct clients.
Alex has considerable experience in acting for clients in the Far East and frequently visits Japan and East Asia.
