IPReg, the Intellectual Property Regulation Board, is an independent body set up under the Legal Services Act to regulate both patent and trade mark attorneys in the UK. It has taken over the regulatory functions of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys. IPReg now controls the qualification procedures for patent and trade mark attorneys, the requirements for continuing professional development, and the conduct of firms and individuals. In Dehns we have checked that our procedures and Terms of Business are fully compliant with a new code of conduct. www.ipreg.org.uk
