The European Patent Office (EPO) has announced a number of changes to the Rules governing prosecution of European Patent Applications and International (PCT) Patent Applications entering the EPO regional phase (Euro-PCT applications). These changes come into force on 1 April 2010 but many of them will affect applications which are currently pending.
