After being approached by a spin-out company from Oxford University, we tendered for their patent work and then were invited to take over their patent portfolio. The company particularly liked the professional, yet friendly attitude of our firm and the fact that our Oxford staff were always on hand for local advice and meetings with their inventors. We subsequently reviewed their existing patent portfolio, and gave advice on how to strengthen their patent protection. We are currently reviewing their latest research projects with a view to capturing their latest inventions in new patent applications. Deferring costs for as long as possible is important to this company, and the company is benefiting from our staff's particular experience in this area.
